The "Clean Air" program is a government initiative supporting the replacement of outdated heating systems with modern, eco-friendly solutions. For manufacturers and importers of boilers, this means adapting their product range to current requirements and meeting formal criteria necessary for their customers to receive funding.
Which boilers qualify for the program?
Currently, funding is available only for:
- Wood pellet boilers,
- Wood gasification boilers.
A prerequisite for financial support is the inclusion of the device on the official Green Devices and Materials List (ZUM). Since 2024, the installation of any models not listed has been prohibited. Therefore, manufacturers and importers must ensure that their boilers meet all technical and formal requirements.
Boiler requirements
To be eligible for the "Clean Air" program, boilers must meet the following criteria:
Wood gasification boilers:
- Certificate of compliance with Ecodesign requirements,
- Energy efficiency class of at least A+,
- No emergency grate or pre-combustion chamber.
Wood pellet boilers:
- Fulfillment of the same requirements as wood gasification boilers,
- Compliance with pollution emission standards,
- Registration in the EPREL database.

Registration of boilers in the EPREL database and the ZUM list
Registration in the EPREL system (European Product Registry for Energy Labelling) and on the ZUM List is essential for a device to qualify for the program. Without these registrations, customers will not be eligible for funding, which could significantly impact sales.
Required actions for manufacturers and importers
- Registering the device in the EPREL database – This process involves submitting complete technical documentation and certificates.
- Entry on the ZUM List – Compliance with the current requirements of the "Clean Air" program and approval by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) is mandatory.
- Updating informational materials – Ensuring that customers have clear information about the device's compliance with the program.
RCC supports manufacturers and importers
